This is the name of the church.
A Church should stand on it’s own without “owing Caesar or Rome anything”. Otherwise said Church is an hypocrite. We will do our very best to live up to this statement in all our dealings. We will not request any donations, we will not ask for money, we will not have products or services for sale of any kind. Faith is not sold or purchased, it is not a commodity. If for whatever reason you or an individual would like to help support the work of the church, a gift will be accepted and put to use as the Church see fit at that time. That is all that will be spoken about money, always upfront and in the open.
The Church of the Wandering Scholar is established as a place of teaching it shall be both Spiritual and Academic in nature.
The Church of the Wandering Scholar does not have a brick and mortar building, it might down the road, but not today. The message is clear, The Church of the Wandering Scholar can not save you or anyone else. It is not our purpose. The only way to God is through Jesus the Christ ! Jesus the Christ is the door opener and the ticket, not any worldly church or religion can save a sole, Jesus the Christ is the only one who can. This we believe and this is our foundation. We will study the word of Jesus the Christ, the word of God and we will study other relevant scripture inspired by God and written by man, this is our purpose and in this we will seek knowledge and a better understanding. Along the way the word of God as made available to us will be shared freely, no price tag, freely and openly.
The Church of the Wandering Scholar will test the Concept and Veracity of a “new” Christian Doctrine (Dogma), with the emphasis on seeking further Knowledge, Spiritual Enlightenment, and Acceptance as a working, Common Sense, Practical Theology that the congregant can live day-to-day, as we believe was intended – with Common Sense and Simplicity to be the hallmarks of our Church.
The Church of the Wandering Scholar shall be both Spiritual and Academic in nature. Other religious beliefs shall not be denied, but encouraged for study. Most present “churches” demand that “their way, and only their way is acceptable”. We believe this to be Incorrect. The Church of the Wandering Scholar welcomes all Scientific, Philosophic, Theologic, and Psychologic approaches to the Knowledge of Jesus the Christ.
This is the foundation of The Church of the Wandering Scholar.
